[QUOTE="coolhandluke, post: 2750929, member: 13284"] I finally ditched the new CMP walnut stock on my lone Garand for a correct DAS SA stock. I've been trying to track down another set of USGI wood for quite awhile. I let a field grade (Greek return) 1/2" DAS SA set and a nice 1/2" DAS HRA set go a few years back and I've been kicking myself ever since. Finding a replacement set hasn't been easy because I'm honestly too cheap to pay the going rate on these stocks nowadays. Luckily I was finally able to find something that fit the bill for the right price...the DAS is faint but the rest of the stock is near service grade quality wood and has great lock-up. The handguards were purchased separately but are a dead match.
