[QUOTE="coolhandluke, post: 2751248, member: 13284"] Thanks Todd. I normally avoid Gorilla Glue but it works very well with handguard repairs, the tricky part is clamping the handguard so that the glue doesn't force the crack open further. I've seen a couple individuals on the CMP forums state that GG is worthless for minor repairs since it can't be stained well and the repair is always visible, but I haven't had that issue at all. After staining with the alcohol based dye the glue takes on a color that resembles the grain of the wood pretty well. I believe that I have seen a couple of Rick B's repairs where GG was used and they were not easy to spot either. This stock was the first that I used Real Milk Paint's Dark PTO on and I absolutely love it. The rifle is a 5.88 SA. I completed a data sheet for the rifle awhile back...if I remember correctly the incorrect parts on the rifle were the bolt (6528287 HRA U), op rod (6535382 HRA), safety (60's era SA marked replacement), the gas plug (originally HRA O, but I swapped it for a P O marked plug in better condition which I believe is still not correct), and possibly the hammer plunger (has wings...I can't recall if this is correct or not).
