If you are trying different ammo almost anything but ball would be a better choice. Be aware many of the FMJ bullets are a steel jacket with a copper wash. GI ball, Winchester White box, Federal is a copper jacket, and I don't know about PMC. As for a unitized gas system, it almost always helps, but you rifle will tell you weather you need it or not by where your bolt hold open shot goes from you main group.. welcome to the world of M-1As!!!!</p></blockquote><p></p>
