M44 or type 53 ? Also any in stock ?

What is the difference and can anyone point me to where some might be for sale ? I've got a 44 but though about getting a 53 to restore.

Are the 53 and the 44 the same? whats the difference? Really want to avoid bunbroker if possible.

53 made in China; 44 made in Russia (and other Eastern Bloc countries). I feel the Polish M44 is the best of the lot.

53's are hit and miss. Some are very used.

Received my type 53 today. Made in 53, all matching except bolt. Finish looks good but wood looks like poop...can easily be refinished. No chunks missing or anything like that. Rifling is decent and bore is shiny....I think I did fine for $119.
