I receive a periodic newsletter from the gun auction site - "Guns America" ( http:www.gunsamerica.com )and in the most recent update (this A.M.) they said that they have decided to deactivate accounts of people, particularly newbies, who are posting: a) anti-gun comments and/or b) wild theories about the Boston Marathon bombing such as, for example, the attack was a government conspiracy to be able to stop gunpowder sales and/or enact greater restrictions on individuals who are troublesome to the Federal government. Their reasoning is that they believe groups affiliated with NYC Mayor Bloomberg are paying folks to act either as anti-2A shills fomenting arguments that will lead to pro-2A people making damaging or foolish sounding comments to be used later against them or by creating "false front" seemingly pro-2A folks who come off as crazies lacking credibility by pushing unsubstantiated slanderous conspiracy theories. Most folks here seem OK to me and I have met many face-to-face but I have to admit that sometimes there seems to be a certain amout of odd newbie behavior. Though "odd" does not necessarily mean improper. Has this board or have any folks here had substantiated reason to believe that there have been no-kidding Troll or Shill issues on OSA? What do you think is the best way to deal with such people and issues should they arise?
