Definitely not cheep but more affordable you roll your own. A Nish round made more to supplement suppressors. 7.62x39 seems that the mags were more the issue and their feeding angles. There are better mags and specifically made upper now that have fixed most the problems.All that said I’m not hating on 7.62x39. It has normally been very affordable. Love feeding it in my combloc platforms. Liked it even more before the Biden Russia ban when its prices hadn’t surged.Never had an urge to have an AR in that category. Now an AK in 5.56 I do like. Never got on the 5.45x39 but the 556 is close. Nothing against it, just didn’t want another round to buy and I kind of foresaw it’s fate in the distant future if Democrats blocked it.
