Hey guys, I have an old Marlin 39D that I am having feed issues with. Some goofball replaced the cartridge cut off screw with a wood screw. It looks like they made or modified the cartridge cut off also. Before I replaced the screw with the correct one, it would cycle 22LR fine but not shorts. Now, if I load 1 round it will cycle fine, if I load more than one, it will hang up and not cycle the first one. Any suggestions. I am going to order a new cartridge cut off if I can find one, just don't understand why it functioned before I replaced the screw.
