I traded for a beautiful unfired Marlin Camp 9 nickle plated today. Still had the factory sticker on the stock.

I remember reading somewhere that these do better with an upgraded spring kit and buffer. Anybody know what I need off the tops of your heads? Besides finding someone with a S&W 5906 they are wanting to trade to go with it. :P

Seriously it is purty and I want to keep it in the best shape I can while still getting to shoot it, so I want the best springs I can afford for it. I think they were wolf brand or something like that.

Before you shoot it change out the buffer. I think I used shokbuff on mine.
Anyways the factory buffer has probably cracked or disintegrated from age, just sitting around.
A bad buffer will beat the crap out of the trigger housing assy.
I think I used a wolff spring kit in mine.

If I remember right the recoil spring comes in different weights and i bought heavier than factory since I'm running suppressed and there's more blowback.

Yes. I did some research and the factory spring is 11 while the Wolff is 16.5.

I got a buffer and recoil spring coming, I also found a set of quick detach swivels and a sling in my gun stuff so I will be all set for some range time soon.

You are correct. I put the new buffer and spring in today and the old buffer was cracked and fell apart as I was removing it.
