Looks like the Maven have a good warranty and Japanese glass but no exposed turrets or zero stop. I would also look at the Bushnell's above.

I talked to them, and they said for $100 extra you can get exposed turrets, and I believe they said a zero stop. But that’s been a few weeks ago and I didn’t write it down, so I might be off a little.

There seem to be a couple of new scope manufacturers out there right now.
Athelon comes to mind. I don't know if they are built, assembled, or what but the one I saw in the gun shop the other day said it was headquartered in Olathe Ks.
Olathe Ks has been kind of a hot bed of gun making in past years. A company in that town used to build high end shotguns. SXS and OU.
I got to shoot the Simmons Quails Fargo on a quail hunt once. $2000 back in the late 70's. The oil bust in the 80's put them out of business, and they opened up doing something else gun related, then came back If I remember right as a gunsmith business. I found they are still there. Can't find a connection to the Athelon scopes though, so it may a seperate business in that town.
