There was security all over the Boston Marathon event at the finish line, including bomb sniffing dogs, and they couldn't stop two punk kids from blowing people up with firecrackers and a pressure cooker. If some lunatic wants to cause carnage, none of these "Security Measures" are going to stop it. All they do is assure that those killed were searched and groped shortly before they died. If I were one of the victims, I would rather die a free man in a free country where I wasn't "Violated" by a search before hand. That is an experience I would prefer not to have on my mind at the time of my untimely death. And if I am too much a coward to attend a public gathering that doesn't include groping and searches, I think the event will probably be better off without me. I would probably be the type that would grab your wife or child to use as a human shield if the threat were a shooter. That said, no one is forced to go to Mayfest which is why I did not refer to these measures as "Illegal or Unconstitutional". As other posters suggested, vote against these nefarious activities with your wallet by going somewhere else. Be sure to let Mayfest organizers why you didn't go there and let the Blue Dome organizers know why you did.</blockquote>
