I recently found out how important an incredibly sharp is for processing multiple game animals. I'm use to buying buck knives, cheap academy sports blades, etc for this task.

I'm about to place an order for a pro skinner from dave. Is this the best bang for the buck? I need a very very sharp blade that stays sharp through a year's worth of deer.

I've got an elk and the straight trapper. It would be worth your while to make a trip to Stillwater and talk FTF with Dave. Tell him what you want the knife for, what you expect of it, and he will tell you what your best choice would be. If you get the Elk, he custom makes the grips to fit your hand, and I'm sure he would measure your hand while you were there. Besides which, you will get a real kick out of talking with him! I assume you have looked over his web site?!?!?!?!
