My opinion regarding DOD Directive 5240.01. The U.S. Department of Defense issued a federal directive on September 27 that (in summary) allows U.S. military troops to be used to “assist” state and local law enforcement upon request, with actions up to and including “lethal force.” Link: Directive 5240.01. My assessment: This DOD Directive stands in flagrant disregard of the ‘Posse Comitatis Act’, June 18, 1878,. However, this is only one example among all to many that are (to me) reminiscent of the tormented sounds reported by those whom survived sinking ships, large buildings crumbling or steel structures such as bridges as they fell. We are witnessing the definite signs of a failing nation whose unwary citizens have lost even the notion of the grand vision of its founders, and are now condoning the demolition of those brilliantly designed constitutional safeguards (the bulkheading that has supported the hull of our ship of state for over 248 years) preserving our individual freedoms throughout our nation’s history. We are now witnessing the ominous telltale incipient signs as our once effective, competent and honorable Republic which traditionally recognized and protected the rights, privileges and sanctity of our individual citizens is subversively guided into a Kakistocracy which (according to plan) will be followed by a alternative and more powerful form of governance premised on serving the welfare of society on a ‘collective’ basis despite the horrible historical record of this bloody, tyrannical political ideology. Once again, fools are crying out to resurrect Karl Marx to the rescue! The seemingly reasonanle statement expressing the idea “….from each according to his ability and to each according to his worth…” becomes echoed by the masses dissatisfied by the apparent failure of their governments which were meticulously undermined by socialist activists. However, the caveat inherent in this principle is that citizens are evaluated by bureaucrats assigned by party leadership that controls these governments where there is no consideration of the will of those whom are assayed and assigned to their designated rolls in life; and dissent is deemed tantamount to treason!!! In my point of view, these are sad times we are living in. When a government threatens to employ military force to control its citizens, it certainly isn’t controlled by its citizens. This is the essence of tyranny. Any government that fears its citizens should be feared by the citizens, and that’s for ‘dang’ sure…..
