Here's a Swede trifecta. Focus on the rifles, not the yard. 1904 Gustafs M94 1942 Husqvarna M38 1899 Oberndorff M96
Finally got to take it to the range this past weekend and ran about 20 rounds of the wood-tipped Swede practice ammo through it to test the action then ran a few live rounds. I had the kids with me so I didn't get to spend a lot of time with it on this range run. Next time I'll be by myself to see how it does on paper. I did get lucky and score an original nose cap for it so I put the repro one I had on the shelf. Those unconverted (to 94/14) nose caps are rarer than an honest politician.
I love it. Actually, I hope I never run across one. I can't afford it and I might make a foolish buying decision. I've, of course, never made one before.
I have to agree, i love restoring military rifles, right now i only have a mosin nagant, but i have shot many m1s and my dads m1 grand.
What stores in Oklahoma have a decent supply of milsurps? I know of Big Boy's in Wheatland. Any others?
