The only problem with being from the younger generation is that I missed out on all the decent prices for milsurp guns and gear. At least there are still a few decent deals to be had if you look hard enough. I only have $20 in the haversack, $20 in the cartridge belt and med pouch, and I traded a birch Garand stock for the Ka-Bar and a 1943 dated footlocker that still had the tray insert. Today's rediculous retail prices on those pieces would have been several times more than that. Heck, the last MK 2 Type 1 Ka-Bar that I saw listed for sale was almost $400(much better condition though). :saywhat:

You wouldn't believe some of the prices for that stuff back in the days of the old Army/Navy Surplus Stores. Those places were gold mines for kids.
