I love them! My first firearm was a sks it got me hooked. Now I have some mosins and a cz82 but looking for more stuff. I love the simplicity of them, and there is always some new variant to learn about or a new gun to learn about.
gfercaks33 told me about a 1941 johnson at liberty pawn. it was worth the drive over there just to fondle it for a bit. i encourage others to do the same. its a fine rifle in excellent shape.
I'm scared to ask how much. Very rare and cool guns!
It's on Macarther and expressway near the what a burger. I hadn't grabbed a good look at the tag on it thought it said $499. It's a super neat piece if some one on here gets it they need to post some pictures.
I dont think i've ever seen a johnson rifle in the flesh.
I've seen, and handled, a few of them walking around the Wanenmacher show over the years. Most interesting design, though IMHO they're not worth the current prices.
