Message: <blockquote data-quote="wawazat" data-source="post: 3740265" data-attributes="member: 35603">I never had a minimum wage job but started working when I was less than 10yo.  We were lower middle class so we didnt go to bed hungry but there werent a lot of extras unless something special came up.  My grandpa owned the auction in Jones, so I grew up there and would hustle peoples stuff they bought to their cars, carry tickets from the clerk to the office, bring drinks to the clerk and auctioneer, etc.  After a while I started noticing what stuff could sell for there and I would have my mom stop by garage sales or I would spend my own money to buy bulk stuff that was on a big sale to flip at the auction.In HS, I ran the concession at the auction and hauled cattle through college.  We grew up being taught that money was everywhere, you just had to figure out how to get it.My first car was an 86 F150 that my uncle had driven in college.  I had to get it running to have something to drive.  I was always jealous that my brother got the CJ7 my grandpa and I used to hunt out of because he never had to pick up a wrench.  In hindsight, I wouldnt have changed a thing.</blockquote>
