Tulsa, Oklahoma -
Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force arrested a Tulsa man for child abuse by injury, Tuesday, Feb. 26.
24-year-old Phillip Hudson was arrested after a 5-year-old boy told school officials that he had been physically abused.
According to the affidavit, officers observed bruises on the boy's right shoulder, arm and an injury to the back of his head.
The boy told officials at the Justice Center that Hudson hit him with a board and that he had been tased multiple times.
During a forensic examination, the pediatrician observed approximately 20 burn marks on the victim's arms, back, stomach, shoulder, feet and butt, caused by a taser. The examiner also noted multiple bruising, consistent with being struck with a board.
Hudson told investigators that he "...had hit the victim with 'a stick' multiple times, and confessed to utilizing a taser for discipline."
According to the affidavit, Hudson stated that he had tased the 5-year-old for not paying attention and lying and "...thought this was a better alternative to spanking, as the pain from being tased faded and no bruises were left..."
Hudson is being held $300,000 bond for three complaints of child abuse by injury.
