Mosin 91/59 carbine fireball at dusk.

Was shooting the Mosin carbine with some friends. This is what it looks like when it is almost dark out.

What you can't see is that the 1st shot at 50 yards hit so hard it completely wrapped the plate up and over the top bar. (It is a 6" AR500 1/2" thick steel plate on heavy 18" chains.)

Those short barreled Mosins are famous for the muzzle flash/blast. And the report. Using milsurp ammo those things are LOUD !!!!

Oh, here the target stand I was shooting at.
This is while I was building it. The nails holding the chains were just so I could get it all aligned. The chains are now bolted onto the 2x4.
2nd plate from the right is the one I wrapped around the top of the stand.
I can't believe I even hit the plate. It was dark enough that I could barely see the front sight post.
