Well, it appears to be innovative because it's never been done, as far as I know. The possible problems all center around it's ability to hold zero. Most Mosins I've ever owned has had some slop in the action. Whether the slop always falls back in the same place if the question.

Actually, my thought is that it's an answer to a question that hasn't often been asked. But, hey, that's not the point. If it works for you, that's all that counts.

Hello,

I'm currently in the office/workshop. Orwell is on internet radio, and I'm filling sight orders.

I've also prototyped an interchangeable aperture rear peep. The first size is 3/32", which is my favorite size peep sight.

Pictures to follow later tonight or sometime tomorrow.
