So I found another gem.
The Mossberg 51M (a). Made between 1939 and 1946.
This one has the original No. 1A front ramp sight, the original s102 rear sight, and the s130 peep sight.

And you all know me by now, I got it on the cheap. The sights alone are worth more than I paid for it.

It is complete and appears functional. Despite the fact that when I got it the bolt handle would not stay in. A bit of Googlefu showed me it was assembled incorrectly. So after 30 minutes of figuring out that it is very hard to assemble this thing the right way I finally got it together correctly. Now it cycles, and the bolt handle stays in place.

Oh, forgot to add that the stock is cracked. It has been repaired and looks like who ever did actually knew what they were doing. It is soild, matches up perfectly and has 2 brass screws across the break hidden under the trigger guard.

With a little refishing it should blend even better.

Very nice. I have been looking for a peep sight for my fathers Marlin 80DL for years but I never find a good one cheap.
