I wanted to try my hand at making some single-stack mag holders for competition before I went out and dumped a bunch of cash on some. We ordered three sheets of kydex and I built a template and a jig to form it correctly. Here's the result; I can make about six holders per 12"x12" sheet of kydex. I could probably get seven and maybe eight if I'm careful about my cut lines. Now that the jig is setup and I'm comfortable with the heat and form process, it take about 20-25 minutes to cut one out, finish the edges and form it. I got the idea (and basic design) from another forum. I like it; it retains the mag very well and hooks onto the belt well. The little flare on the belt clip part angles the mag just enough to get around my love handle :D
