Those who know me a bit may know I love me some station wagon. It started when I bought a 2005 Magnum RT...it was awesome to have all that room to haul people and stuff and could still but some ass at the track if I wanted to. I know its not FAST but it sure took down a bunch of unsuspecting people (I could never get it to 60' better than a 2.0 but I did manage to get a 13.7@109 out of it in some good weather..). Well the ole gal rolled over 200k miles so I sold it and bought a diesel truck....and the whole time I had the Cummins, I missed my Magnum...so I sold the Cummins and bought the best Magnum out there, a SRT8.
I sold the Magnum around 2015 and today I get a message from the buyer who 6 years later had some questions about it. Apparently he bought it then about a year later wrecked it...and used it as a parts car to convert a V6 Charger to a "RT" with the 5.7 Hemi and driveline from my old Magnum.
His style in wheels and such doesnt align with mine...but it was interesting to see some wrecked pics of one of my favorite cars I've owned.
Honestly if I were to buy another Magnum...I dont think the SRT8 was worth the extra money compared to the RT...but since I have it and its paid for I'll keep it.

This is what it looked like when he got it....at around 210k miles. The Magnum was lowered about 1.5" and the truck has a 5/7 drop on it. Red truck is a gasser, not the Cummins mentioned above.

I remember when those came out.
A friend of mine got in a race with one and said do not mess with those new Station Wagons they are quick.
Yea he got beat.

I had a 1972 Plymouth Satellite Station Wagon it was dark Green with wood look down the sides.
I had the 400" in mine and should have kept it. Should have kept the 440 powered 1970 New Yorker also and the 1967 Chrysler
Newport Custom 383"

They were all green cars.
No one wanted a green car :)

My dad had a ‘68 Newport. Loved that car. Big, heavy, great ride & a powerful 383

Probably the best car we ever owned was an '81 Ford Fairmont wagon with a 281 V8 2bbl. Had 12k miles when we bought it, and 262k when we sold it. Surprisingly zippy, and got about 22 mpg.

The only reason I sold it was because of worrying about Sweetie driving alone with that many miles on it. Should have kept it anyway, 'cause our next car was a '95 Taurus wagon that turned out to be a real lemon and left her stranded on the side of the road twice.

Sometime ya just can't win fer losin' ...

My uncle had a 71 roadrunner with the 383 and four speed. It was medium green metallic. Only had 65,000 miles on it when parked. My other uncle over-revved the engine racing and bent a rod.
