I was very pleased with the accuracy and performance of both pistols on their first trips to the range, on Saturday. Turns out the 908S is missing the firing pin safety [URL='http://rover.ebay.com/rover/13/0/19/DealFrame/DealFrame.cmp?bm=603&BEFID=96392&acode=578&code=578&aon=&crawler_id=523588&dealId=6EHr8QimUigbts_P0K1X5Q%3D%3D&searchID=&url=http%3A%2F%2Fads.midwayusa.com%2Fproduct%2F111764%2Fpower-custom-safety-spring-and-plunger-installation-tool-ruger-10-22%3Fcm_mmc%3Dpf_ci_ebay-_-Gunsmithing%2B-%2BTools%252C%2BJigs%2B%2526%2BFixtures-_-Power%2BCustom-_-111764%26sdc_id%3DeBay&DealName=Power%20Custom%20Safety%20Spring%20and%20Plunger%20Installation%20Tool%20Ruger%2010%2F22&MerchantID=523588&HasLink=yes&category=0&AR=-1&NG=1&GR=1&ND=1&PN=1&RR=-1&ST=&MN=msnFeed&FPT=SDCF&NDS=1&NMS=1&NDP=1&MRS=&PD=0&brnId=2455&lnkId=8070676&Issdt=160924052004&IsFtr=0&IsSmart=0&dlprc=29.99&SKU=111764']plunger and spring. I ordered new parts form Numrich. Not sure why a previous owner would remove that...seems like an important piece to keep. I do prefer the plastic grips of the 908S. The rubber Hogue grips on the CS9 are pretty much worn out and I'm not too fond of how fat and sticky they are. I put a WTB thread out on one of the S&W forums and one of the members sent me a 3913 grip for free. I plan on modifying it to fit the CS9. The CS9 was just about as dirty as the 908S.
