I finally got to take my 22-A out to the land today. I do believe all my problems are magazine related. One mag actually blocks the hammer fall. The other mag is 100% reliable if I only load 5 rounds into it. 6 rounds is about 95% reliable, 7 or more and misfires become way too common. (actually, I reckon any misfire is way too common)

I can't see any differences between the two mags, but obviously there is a difference.
I was shooting primarily Federal Champions and Remington Golden Bullets, both are bulk packs. I had a couple of the Remingtons fail to fire even with good firing pin strikes.
One other observation: when shooting from a rest, with the bottom of the good mag on a table I had more misfires than just offhand shooting. Pressure is apparently pushing the mag up enough to slow down or block the hammer fall.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
