I have a blockage somewhere near the kitchen. the sink and washing machine are backing up. I have tried several bottles of draino to no avail. Anyone here a plumber or no someone they recommended? I am 20 miles east of Tulsa. You can reply here or send me a PM thanks guys and gals.

go to your local hardware store, rent or buy a snake, and use it. Not difficult to try, and when I bought one a couple weeks ago, it was like $11 for a 25' snake.

If that doesn't work, then call a plumber.

It is the middle of the rut right now and I don't feel like messing with it. I just want it fixed and taken care of asap. Normally I do these types of jobs myself but really don't feel like messing with this one.

Look up Tony Mallory in the book. He operates out of Chelsea. He is a great plumber, and he's a gun friendly OSA'er.

A decent guy too... aside from well... he's kinda fruity! lol

I have used AAA Auger here in Tulsa twice in the last week and had pretty good luck with them. Plumbers can be expensive but a good one is worth the money. Guy who was out today was named Bill and really knew his stuff. Had to remove wood baseboard and paneling and drywall in order to get to the drain in the wall behind the sink - REALLY took his time and care to not damage things and make sure it was done right. Now I can reuse the pieces and save time/money not having to shop and match the existing paneling on the cabinet backs.

There can be a lot of things screwed up by inexperience (cutting rubber couplings, breaking leaded joints, etc.).

If you cant get a plumber you might check and see if you have a cap/clean-out coming through the outside wall near your sink. Sometimes clogs like these are easy to do and not really worth waiting on a plumber or paying for a service call.

These can be dangerous though. On older homes, the clean out pipe is joined to the drain with a leaded joint. If you start to loosen the plug, it can torque the joint and create a leak due to the softness of the lead. From what I understand, those were only installed to meet code, but never designed to actually be used. My wall is still opened up so I may take pics and post them up later.
