I’ve opened a bunch of boxes with them and I’ve used them to cut baling twine off of bales and equipment—it’s super handy to have an automatic opening mechanism when you’re wearing leather work gloves. It’s the same idea behind the switchblades they gave to pilots to cut away the parachute rigging if they had to eject; you don’t want to be fumbling with opening the knife while you have bigger fish to fry.</p></blockquote><p></p>
