[QUOTE="Catt57, post: 3576598, member: 34578"] I have this 1920s Pieper Bayard .22 Boy's rifle. It's a single shot .22. Shoots great and is in overall fantastic condition for a 100 year old firearm. The issue is that the extractor keeps slipping off the case rim when opening the bolt. If I press down on it firmly with my thumb while opening the bolt it will work most of the time. There does seem to be good spring tension on it but I suspect the extractor claw is worn causing the issue. I tried taking a small file and squared up the inside of the claw. This helped a little, but it's still far from reliable extraction. I have also made sure to thoroughly clean the chamber and checked for any burrs or carbon buildup. The problem is not only can I not find a replacement, I can't even find hardly any info on this rifle at all.
