Need help with removal of front sight assembly on FR-8 Spanish Mauser

To be clear, I am going to re-install the factory front sight assembly after I get the scout mount on. I just had to remove it in order to get the scout mount on because the scout mount completely encircles the barrel. I definitely want to keep the front sight, if for no other reason than to keep the little under-barrel storage compartment. I will probably put some survival stuff in there like a firestarter, some fishing line/hooks, a little cut down screwdriver to disassemble the rifle with, and the front sight adjustment tool.
