Amazing! I have almost enough Amazon points to get one for free. You know, I never took electric chain saws seriously - until now. I have a small Black & Decker that I ordered a new chain and two battery packs for last week. And what's remarkable is that the current batteries still work after ten years - but they don't hold a charge very long anymore. I am still leaning toward a gas chainsaw, but the Dewault 60v has my full attention. If I go this route, I'm getting a second battery pack to see the job through. I'm paying my house insurance with the credit card next month and then paying off the card the same day, so I can get enough Amazon points to get the saw for free.

I have the 20V Dewalt. Cut 40+ cedars with it non stop the other day. They are the real deal.

About to place my order. I consider this a have to have rather than a nice to have that I could put off and delay.

Edit: Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it and feel like I'm making an informed decision now.

I bought a new Stihl easy start. It’s actually pretty easy to start.

This thread reminded me that the only gasoline lawn tool I own is a trimmer, and I don't like it. I went to WalMart this morning and bought the Hart 40v string trimmer. It is easily the best trimmer I have ever used. The old Stihl trimmer will be on FB marketplace within the hour. I still like my gasoline mower, but it is electric start and always works when I need it.

Does anyone make an electric start gas chainsaw? :anyone:

I've converted a couple Briggs lawnmower engines to start with a drill... :D

Edit: I ordered the Dewault 60v and an extra chain and a quart of chain lubricant. I concluded that the biggest cost of this saw is the battery. If this saw performs close to what I watched on YouTube I'll get an extra battery and more goodies for it.
