Picked up a pistol I've wanted all my life. My favorite pistol design is the 1911. Have had many even Colts, but never a Combat Commander. This one will get handed down when I'm buried.

Pretty sure the hammer and trigger are after market. Maybe the beaver tail too. But that's OK, I love the way it looks.
That is sexy. 
I like it a lot too. All of it, no matter if it is original or not. The sights appear to be aftermarket...the front strap checkering may be custom also. Still a wonderful pistol.
