But I'm not optimistic about the 2016 elections. At all. The demographics are bad for the GOP and just getting worse and worse every year. It would take a really weak or damaged Democrat and a really strong Republican.How do we fix it? How do we get more young people into the party? How do we get more women into the party? Obama was a special case so he drew even more of the black vote.... once the Democratic candidate is white, the Republicans _should_ be able to draw back some black middle and upper class voters. But right now it is the Hispanic vote that is killing the GOP. Bush 43 was able to win a big chunk of that vote. But Romney did very poorly. Like it or not, that's the swing vote right now.
