USPS delivered it this afternoon with the PEPR mount. I have not had a chance to get to the range. Nice thing is the red dot does not look like a cluster of grapes like most red dot optics.

What do you mean by "cluster of grapes"? Not trying to be a jerk, just genuinely curious what you're referencing to. Nice rifle btw. I used to shoot mine when 22lr wasn't fetching $80 a brick. Times are crazy my friend.

People with bad eyes can have problems with red dots. Some see multiple dots or a cluster, some like me sometimes see a blob more than a dot, but many see it as intended. Vision is a weird thing, but it's why I'm also getting interested in 1-4x & 1-6x optics now.

Wild. I didn't know that.

I tried the 1-4x Razor and Burris, but it wasn't as fast as my aimpoint on the 1x and I wanted more on the top end. I've been considering a 1-6x or 1-8x but haven't sampled any yet. To be honest, I've been kicking around the idea of building a 16" RECCE with a 2-10x PST. Funds are a little tight right now though, so it will be awhile.

What I love about the M&P 15-22, is you can setup it up just like your main AR and practice for cheaper. Even at $80/brick, which I refuse to pay. I even have an airsoft rifle setup like my AR to practice in the backyard when I can't get to the range. Or when I can't afford to.

OP, get back with us and let us know your thoughts on the 1-4x. I love to read others views/opinions on products.

Jakerz, all your friends must have perfect eyesight or none are over age 40. Our vision degrades as we age, so have to make adjustments.

For a 22lr the 1-4 is all I want. Lastest addition to the AR 22lr is a DPMS AP4 22lr. It is not the DPMS of old but a completely different upper. DPMS and Nordic Components got together on this one. JP Enterprises 22lr upper is a Nordic. Bolt is patterned after a 10/22 bolt. I have only had it a short time but it has run 100%. Accuracy is good. Lower is a new factory High Standard.
