We live near the first asphalt road after crossing the river into the country. People kick their cats and dogs out into the woods. By the time they make it up to where we live most are torn up by coyotes and/or covered in ticks. We used to try and take them to the humane shelters or the city dog pound, but they always say they are full and to adopt them. We can't do that. Tried to rehome them with a local am radio station and so on, but no takers. Now we just let nature take its course or if they are really bad off, euthanize them. It sucks badly to have to do that.The owners that dump dogs need the same jail time as someone abandoning their kid.</blockquote>
