OK, so I stumbled into this for a song and maybe 1/2 of a dance.

But now I have no idea where to go from here. I've never even looked at building one. I work on old rifles, not this newfangled, "modern" stuff. LOL

I'd like to build it out right, but I'm also on a budget for this.
I want a rifle configuration with an 18" barrel and full length hand guard. Trying to decide between .223 Wylde or 762x39.

First goal is to get this lower complete. What would be a good parts kit to get that's cost effective but decent quality?
After that what do I look for in an upper and barrel?

    Thanks for the help.

The last time I bought a complete lower parts kit it was from Tactical Solutions.

Bear Creek Arsenal has complete uppers that would work just fine for your build.

Better be careful!! That looks one of those new-fangled 'gateway drugs' posing at a gun part!

Building an AR is almost embarrassingly simple once you learn how. You shouldn't have any problem.

I'll let others tout their favorite lower parts kit but I will recommend replacing the trigger with a LaRue Tactical MBT 2S for $80 at some point if not at first.

I don’t have any great advice, but my small amount of experience with a .223 Wylde chamber (I shoot 5.56 and .223 rem out of it, never have bought or even seen Wylde ammo) has been great. It’s a PWS upper, long stroke piston, accurate, runs flawlessly and very clean. I’ve also found Geissele triggers to be worth the investment for me personally.

You might consider a drop-in trigger group where all the trigger parts are enclosed in an aluminum frame that then just drops into the lower and is secured with the same two trigger pins. More expensive, but I think the trigger feels better, resets more accurately, and is just plain easier to install.

Yeah, there is no such thing as .223 Wylde ammo. It's just a chamber made to optimize both 223 and 556.

You might have to sort through them but there are actually some pretty good videos available online that will show you how to build one.

If you plan in building several, at some point you may want to get more of the specialty tools, mainly for building uppers, but with some ingenuity you can get by without some of them.

Of course if you get a complete barreled upper it makes it much easier.

Cabelas ‘had’ CMMG LPK’s for $74. I’ve not had any issues with their products.
