    LMAO that’s funny.

I am wanting to do the same with a Spikes Tactical lower that I have. I saw a YouTube video of a guy using acetone or fingernail polish remover and a brush. He said that the acetone will peel up the color fill without impacting the anodizing. I have not taken the time to do this, you may want to verify before you try but it looks very easy and painless to do.

I can second that! I bought a lower receiver back in 2015, partly to build an AR pistol and partly to verify that my right to purchase firearms legally had been restored (long story there that I've related elsewhere in this forum.) I had a LPK that my son had won as a door prize at the legendary Tulsa AR build party, so all I needed was the upper and a pistol brace. It only took me five years until I added the final pieces to the puzzle! As for assembling everything? I did it in less than 90 minutes while watching a NASCAR race one Sunday in August--and at least 30 minutes of that was searching for the forward takedown pin detent--three times! (I had a detent tool but it took me the three times to teach myself the proper way to use it.)

I’d prob just color the 1 or 7 in the logo red, and color fire red.

but I also wouldn’t buy the lowers with all that white on it. I’d take one if given one though. Just looks like west coast customs started a show called pimp my gun , in my opinion.

Looking at this receiver, I don't think it is color fill. It looks like they just etched through the coating and what you see is the raw aluminum.

Edit: OK, maybe it is fill. It's actually kind of hard to tell on the one I have.

Forget the Sharpie. Get a black paint pen.

The set I bought from Boyd's is pretty close (style wise), but not exactly like that . . . I ultimately sold the grip and handguard. I kept the stock though.

Hoppe's solvent might work too . . . that's what I've used to remove excess color when I do my color fill.
