I read Liptak's letter before you posted it. One thing I know about leadership of volunteers.......you don't crap on the people you are asking to help you!! Do you REALLY believe the NRA would have been worse off if Wayne and Chris had kept quiet about the LV shooting??? I don't believe Trump would have been so quick to come out in favor of a ban if Wayne and Chris hadn't practically invited him to do so by stupidly issuing the statement they did!!! Have you read the statement they released?? They basically said that the NRA "leadership" thought bump stocks should be illegal.....this gave Trump the green light to speak in favor of the ban; 1) because the NRA invited it and 2) it would make points for him with the anti gunners.......at least those in the Republican party. I've been an NRA member for decades, I'm an NRA certified instructor and have recruited for them........but I'm done with them until Wayne and Chris are given the boot and they stop giving our rights away! Notice, I didn't say "compromising" our rights away.....a compromise means that both sides give something and both get something......from what I can see, we got nothing!!
