NRA Pistol Instructor Class 8/9/14

Oklahoma Sport Shooting is conducting the NRA pistol instructor class on 8/9/14.

This course consists of 6 hours of 'Basic Instructor Training or BIT and 8 hours of Pistol Topics. To enroll in this course you must first pass a Pre-Qualifying exam consisting of hands-on demonstrations of firearms knowledge Skills, and Attitude. In the Pre-Qualification, Inst. candidates will demo: Loading/Unloading, Clearing stoppages, Shooting an actual firearm, & and Instructor Interview.

Topics to be covered are: Pistol Knowledge and Safe Handling, Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting, Firing the First Shots for Students, Two-handed Standing and One-handed Standing Shooting Positions, Continuing Pistol Sports and Activities.

Cost is $225 or $200 if prepaid.

So this is a 14 hour day of learning to be an instructor ??

It may be a 16 hour day, depending on how many people show up and the flow of class. Some people drive and long way and want to stay 16 hours, all in one day.

Bigger classes run two days, smaller classes knock it all out in one day. Depends on variables.

You are welcome to come and sit in to see how I conduct my classes, if you are genuinely curious. That way you can have first hand knowledge.
