It's good to have choices. And I agree on the Beretta...how I hated that thing. It isn't that the Beretta isn't a well made gun, it's just a fat chunky beast.

I'm not a Glock hater, don't own one now, but have in the past. Am sure gov got them at a great price. Both good pistols.

As an individual, customer support for the Glock is much easier than Sig. I'm sure the gov will jump ahead of the line with a contract.

I'm sure they do, as do all the services, but at some point in time something is going to break and someone will say send this POS back to the factory and tell them to fix it.

That's great if you are at home and have the time to deal with the manufacturer.

I tried glock. I didn't like them so I moved to Sig. I have a MK25 and M11-A1. Both are sweet shooters. Life is good now.

Hope they get all those nasty old worn-out 226's to the CMP right away.

And on a side note - it looks like this thread started a few days ago, and I'm pretty sure it never showed up in "New Posts" until just a few minutes ago. I've suspected this happening with posts before, but this is one I'm pretty sure I would've noticed.
