I lived in a small town in Western Colorado from the summer of 1971 to the summer of 1972. Didn't  have police. Had a Sheriff. No deputy. Worst trouble in town was me and a kid named Chris getting in fist fights. He put boxing gloves on us, and let us have at it after the 3rd or forth time we got into it at school. After I left and went back to Cali, maybe a few years later, somebody murdered the Catholic Priest in town. After that they got a small police department. I only made it back maybe a dozen times in the next 20 odd years. Would see police cars in town. More than one. Haven't been back since 2008. Isn't anywhere that's Mayberry anymore.</p></blockquote><p></p>
