Suggest breaking free of the immediate Penn Square area and checking out either the area just to the North by Chesapeake/ Classen Curve or down to Midtown. Stella is a nice italian place, with Kaisers a short walk away for dessert. On the last Friday of each month, Elemental Coffee roasters hosts the H&8th food event- Food trucks line Hudson St. at 8th. Kind of a funky, eat on the sidewalk and meet people sort of venue. Check the OKC Gazette online and the Daily Oklahoman for stuff going on. There's ways to have a blast in OKC and completely avoid the chain resteraunt/ strip mall norm (Not that the norm is bad, but hopefully this won't be a normal weekend for you). Bringing your GF to town is the time to go places you haven't and do things you've never done. Have fun! I've never seen a No Gun sign at Penn Sq. mall.
