Three charged, arrested in robbery attempt that ended with fingers shot off [Broken External Image] Brian Eugene Breckenridge [Broken External Image] [Broken External Image] Vincent Edwin LiebBobby James Lewis Published: 10/7/2010 10:17 PM Three men have been charged with an attempted robbery during which one of the mens fingers were shot off by a homeowner. Brian Eugene Breckenridge, 43, Vincent Edwin Lieb, 19, and Bobby James Lewis, 23, were charged Thursday with attempted robbery with a firearm, first-degree burglary, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Lewis faces an additional charge of knowingly concealing or receiving stolen property. Lewis was arrested after two of his fingers were shot off Saturday morning at a house in the 400 block of South 106th East Avenue, police said. Three men had broken through the front door, and the resident, Larry Ryan, 59, got a gun away from one of them. In the process, the gun fired, shooting that intruder identified as Lewis in the hand, according to arrest reports. Ryan held the injured man down after the other men fled, police said, and Lewis was arrested when police officers arrived. Lieb was arrested later that day. Breckenridge was arrested Thursday evening. In 2005, Breckenridge was convicted of possession of a controlled drug and possession of a firearm after the commission of a felony, for which he was sentenced to concurrent five-year prison terms, court records show.
