After claiming to work for the gas company, the man asked the woman for access to the backyard. He asked if the woman had any dogs, and she told him she did not, police said. She described the man as black, wearing some type of blue work suit, a white hard hat and a tool belt. The man returned to the front door and asked the woman if he could get in the garage.
