Around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police say three suspects attempted to burglarize a home near N.E. 30th and Prospect. A man living in the home told police he grabbed his gun when he heard people trying to break in. “The resident armed himself, went to the door, looked out, found three suspects out there. One of them appeared to be armed,” said MSgt. Gary Knight. Police said one of the suspects was holding a BB gun that did not have an orange tip on it, so it appeared to be a real firearm.
