I never really liked the term assault rifle either.

Just saying automatic or semi-automatic weapon makes things so much easier and helps to prevent confusion.

IMO, calling any Title 1 firearm an assault rifle or assault weapon just gives more power to the anti-gunners.

Called the OKC game warden and asked him about the magazine restrictions posted in the current 2010-2011 hunting regs.

He confirmed that the size restrictions during deer season only apply to .22 caliber (.222, .223, 22-250 etc) but that any other caliber per the regs was not regulated so if you have an SKS, AK, or AR15 in any other caliber than .223 you can use banana clips or even drum mags if it floats your boat.

But the OKC game warden said to check with the game warden in the county you'll be hunting, because they'll be the one enforcing the rules.
