I enjoy my old colt 1911, but If I could only have one...it would be my sig p229 es. I love this gun! shoots great and looks better. I'll never let this one go!

1911. Despite the naysayers, it is really difficult to argue with over 100 years of success. Talk all the smack you want, cry about the injustice of it all, try all you want to denigrate this time honored handgun, the sad fact is that it has proven itself over and over. Simply put, nothing that any of you write here is going to change the minds of those of us that prefer 1911. Similarly, 1911 fans will probably not change the minds of the rest of you. Though, we do continue to hold some hope.
