Open Carriers in Pa. face police intimidation for carrying in Eerie city parks

Eerie Pa. has a law on the city's books saying you can not open carry in Parks. The Pa. state open carry law says it has preemption over local ordinances.

The open carry association of PA. decided to protest the local ordinance by having an open carry rally in an Eerie park. Local P.D. showed up with SWAT and began taking licencse plate numbers of vehicles at the park. I believe they ended up mailing fines to open carriers.

I thought the video was interesting. The situation is kinda similar to what some have talked about with Tulsa City law and Oklahoma state SDA preemption. I hope to see that soon the PA state supreme court knocks down their local ordinance.

I have a friend that participated in that rally. They have hired an attorney to represent the group. The local courts have upheld the local law. Will be interesting to see the outcome.

Is Tulsa still in Oklahoma? They've been trying to secede from the state since at least the early 70's - thought they might have made it by now.
