[QUOTE="Nik, post: 853331, member: 4775"] +1 on people routinely ignoring the facts I could really care less what the poll results are on any survey. Sadly, if I recall correctly, BHO got the most votes in a nationwide survey back in November of 2008 so most votes does not indicate intelligent decision or quality product. :crying: So I pose a different question, not WHO is the best, but WHY is "xyz" the best? Most respond with one sentence: "...because I never had problems..." or "my neighbor is a cop and uses it..." Now I do think providing input on your personal experience is good and useful to a degree, but to somehow extrapolate that it means it is the "best" is silly. For instance, the last post said M&P over RRA. Others think Bushy, Noveske, etc. Is there any substantive things that can be outlined and compared between the various models? (I mean I know there is but will anyone do it is the bigger question). And once compared, what are the explanations why X feature produces a better Y gun. I know this can get long and hairy, but like the last few people have stated: Either have a real discussion or no discussion at all...this fanboy stuff is not valuable to individuals truly seeking more knowledge. The US Army uses Colt. Is that because they get them cheap on government contract or because the have better reliability/durability? Or Neither? The DEA uses Rock River Arms. Is that because they get them cheap on government contract or because the have better reliability/durability? Or Neither? I can continue down the list with a rainbow of companies that have support from large organizations so why doesn't the military switch to M&P or why do they not switch to RRA and so on and so on...
