Watched some stabilized aerial video and it's obvious that he was shot down low in the torso while he had his hands up almost immediately upon exit from the pickup. Reaching down with his hands was an instictive reaction to the gunshot which some are construing as his attempt to reach for a firearm. He was shot again in the back by the man coming from the trees. After Finicum went down the truck was shot at repeatedly. Seems he was shot in cold blood. Sucks for him and his family.

The FBI entered the compound at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Tuesday night without being discovered by the four remaining occupiers, before moving in on the militiamen on Wednesday, The Oregonian reported.

FBI tactical teams had quietly moved into the refuge compound Tuesday night, entering the buildings undetected by the occupiers. They apparently were in the buildings through the day Wednesday before agents moved against the encampment.
FBI agents then moved in on Wednesday night after spotting one of the occupiers leaving the militia's encampment in an ATV. Law enforcement approached the ATV, which then quickly returned to camp. The FBI then surrounded the occupiers' camp in armored vehicles and set up barricades.
After negotiations with the FBI and Nevada state lawmaker Michelle Fiore -- a longtime ally of the Bundy family -- the occupiers agreed to turn themselves in to authorities Thursday morning.
Federal authorities also arrested Cliven Bundy on Wednesday night at the Portland airport, but it's not clear what the elder Bundy was charged with.
