They gave be a couple syringes of painkiller directly into a vein, and (with a couple nurses holding my shoulder area) it literally took him about 3 seconds (if that long?) to pop it back in, which gave me immediate relief. It still hurt of course (and still does), but at least it's bearable, and I can actually get it positions that don't hurt at all.</p><p></p><p>But my fun wasn't over... The meds made me get carsick, and I puked 4 times on the way home. Something I rarely do (it had literally been years before then).</p><p></p><p>Anywho... the Doc gave me strict instructions to not lift my arm straight up for at least 24 hours. Wasted advice, 'cause I'm not sure I could (yet?) lift it above my head if my shirt was on fire. <img src="/images/smilies/biggrin.png" class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":D" title="Big Grin :D" data-shortname=":D" /></p><p></p><p>I know some of y'all have had this wonderful experience before. How long does it take for the soreness to go away?
