Looks like I'm being priced-out and will have to find another place to call home (been here for 14-years). I'm not sure which way to go at this point (73-years old and single).- Choices include staying where I am and paying the increased rent; move to another apartment complex in the area; move to another area/town in Oklahoma; move to another state; or give-up independent living altogether and check into an 'old soldiers home through the VA. Everything is doubly difficult because I don't drive anymore and I need to keep the rent down to less than $1K/mo while still keeping to a relatively 'safe' [for an old guy] area.- My sole monthly income is a combo of SS and VA disability, so I don't have a huge amount to play with.
